Cuisine and diet are very important parts of these retreats. Inflammation in the body and gut distress can cause muscle spasm and spinal locking patterns that no amount of focus and movement can dislodge. Retreat centers are also chosen around diet. Through the relaxation and experience of these retreats, you can expect to feel great and even lose weight. As it is, weight gain is always the symptom of many factors, not a cause. Feldenkrais usually helps with sleep, and a sense of community and fun meditation and creative activities puts the nervous system into a space of greater ease, which is also the place of a faster metabolism.

Otherwise, I aim to provide the most healthy version of a mediterranean and multi-ethnic diet possible. In some centres there will be a choice of vegan, vegetarian (those two in any case), and meat/fish. I will always work with you on preferences and restrictions of any kind. These are complicated times and we're all trying to find our way to better health while being bombarded by external messages. It's fair and reasonable to experiment, and correct to say "this works for me and I'm sticking with it."
